Orange County Jail Roster Overview
Orange County Corrections runs the public inmate database at netapps.ocfl.net/BestJail. The page lists people currently in jail, with charges, bond amount, and a booking photo. It updates every 30 minutes. When a person's information enters the Inmate Management System, it shows on the listing within 30 minutes. The page warns that being listed does not mean a person is guilty.
The roster shows current custody only. When a person is released, they no longer appear on the list. It does not track people in state prison or federal custody. For state custody, the Florida Department of Corrections runs its own search. For federal custody, the Bureau of Prisons runs a locator. The released inmates page covers those tools.
The Orange County Corrections current inmate database is the official roster.
The search box takes a last name and returns booking numbers and names for people in custody.
How to Use the Orange County Inmate Roster
The roster is free and fast. Type a last name into the search box. Add a first name to cut down a long result list. Open a result to see the full profile, including charges, bond, and booking detail. The search runs against people held right now, so a no-result can mean release, a transfer, or a different spelling.
- Open the Orange County Corrections inmate database.
- Type the last name, with a first name to narrow results.
- Review the list of booking numbers and names.
- Open a profile to view charges, bond, and booking data.
Orange County Inmate Roster Search Fields
The roster keeps the form simple. Last name is required and first name is optional. The search submits to the corrections system and returns a list of matches. The table below shows the fields the public roster accepts.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Last Name | Text | Yes | Page instruction: last name required |
| First Name | Text | No | Optional, narrows the result list |
| Search | Button | n/a | Submits the query to the corrections system |
A result row shows the booking number and the inmate name, such as a booking number paired with a last-name-first listing.
What an Orange County Inmate Profile Shows
Open a profile and the page shows identity, booking, and charge data. The mugshot returns with the record. A yellow immigration-hold label appears if a federal hold is set. The charge section links each charge to a court case number and court location, which ties the jail record to a court case.

| Name | The inmate name on file |
| Race, Gender, Age | Basic identity data shown on the profile |

| Horizon Facility | Direct supervision | 768 |

Booking and First Appearance
After an arrest, corrections books the person into the Inmate Management System. The record shows on the roster within 30 minutes. The county also posts a daily booking list for people booked during a 24-hour period that starts at midnight. The booking list is separate from the live roster.
First appearances run seven days a week, including holidays. At the hearing a judge tells the person the new charge and the bond status for that charge. The court can set a bond, deny bond, or release the person on conditions. For the linked court case, follow the case number on the court records page.
Classification staff assign housing based on the charges, behavior, and escape risk. The direct-supervision model places officers inside the unit, which the county links to lower cost and fewer staff. A person may move between units as the case or status changes.
Orange County Jail Visitation
All inmates may have three video visits per week. The Video Visitation Center sits at 3000 39th Street, Orlando, FL 32839, and is open every day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The last session starts at 9 p.m. Call (407) 836-8061 between 9:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. to schedule the first visit at least one day ahead. Bring a valid photo ID and arrive at least 15 minutes early.

The page also covers app setup, check-in timing, and ID rules for each visit.
How to Contact an Orange County Inmate
Mail rules changed on April 19, 2024. Regular inmate postal mail is now opened and scanned through the Smart Communications system, then shown on kiosks and tablets after review. Address regular mail to Smart Communications/Orange County Corrections Department, with the inmate full name and booking number, P.O. Box 9101, Seminole, FL 33775-9174. No cash, checks, or money orders go through the scan address. The Customer Care line is 888-253-5178.
Legal mail and money orders use the corrections P.O. Box 4970 address with the inmate name and booking number. Books must be paperback and sent by a publisher or bookstore. The sending mail page lists the full rules.
The inmate phone information page covers call setup for inmates.
Phone access uses an account that a family member or friend can fund in advance.
Commissary and Inmate Funds
Money can go onto an inmate account a few ways. ConnectNetwork and Pay by Phone take Visa and MasterCard around the clock, using the facility site ID with the inmate booking number, last name, and first name. In-person deposits run at the Booking and Release Center Public Lobby, 3855 John Young Parkway, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. Inmate Fiscal Operations can be reached at 407-254-8315.
Western Union deposits stopped on April 29, 2021. Gift packages and fresh meals run through the I Care service at icaregifts.com. A valid driver license or state ID is required to receive money or property at release.
Note: No cash, checks, or money orders are processed through the regular mail-scanning address, so money orders must be sent to the Inmate Fiscal Department.
When the Orange County Roster Updates
The roster refreshes every 30 minutes. A new booking shows within that window once it enters the Inmate Management System. A release removes the person from the current list. Because of this cycle, a search run minutes after an arrest may not show the person yet, and a search after a release may show an empty result.
The roster reflects jail and court data at the moment of the update. Charge, bond, and court-location fields can change as a case moves. The booking photo, holds count, and cell can also change with a transfer or a classification update.
Orange County Jail Data Cautions
The roster is a custody tool, not a guilt record. The corrections page states that inclusion in the list does not indicate guilt. A charge at booking is an accusation, and the outcome is decided in court. A blank result is not proof a person was never booked, since the name spelling, the release, or a transfer can all hide a record.
For the court result behind a booking, follow the court case number to the clerk's docket. For people who may have moved to state or federal custody, use the state and federal locators on the released inmates page.
Note: Confirm any custody, charge, or bond detail with Orange County Corrections at (407) 836-3400 before relying on it for a legal step.
